peanut science journalPeanut Science is a peer-reviewed on-line research journal dedicated to publishing the results of Research, Education, and/or Extension projects and programs directly involved with or applicable to the production, storage, processing, manufacturing or marketing of peanuts.

Peanut Science is published exclusively online and every issue published issue (1974-current) is available though our dedicated website peanutscience.com. One of the best features of the Peanut Science website is its database. Search by subject, author, key word to easily find what what you need. Peanut Science is open access and you are welcome to download and print copies for your use exclusively. (See our copyright statement)

Terms and Cancellation Conditions

REGISTRATION

Full payment must be made at the time of registration; no provisional bookings will be accepted. Confirmation e-mails and receipted invoices will be sent upon registration completion.

If you cancel your registration before June 30, 2025, refunds will be given, subject to a US $25 administration charge. No refunds will be made for no-shows or for cancellations received after June 30, 2025. Although, if you are unable to attend, a substitute member from the same organization/company/university may be made at any time provided written confirmation is given to APRES. Cancellations MUST be made using your Member Dashboard on the APRES website, or by calling the APRES meeting organizer.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

I accept that for the purpose of the APRES meeting, my personal data will be registered and stored electronically by APRES on the meeting platform. I accept that my contact details will be shared with other meeting attendees through the meeting platform (and mobile app) in order that attendees may contact me to arrange meetings etc.

APRES staff may take photographs, video or other recordings during the course of the meeting for use on the APRES website and in social or other media in connection with APRES and to promote future events. We will retain your contact data for the meeting to share on the meeting platform and to provide information about the meeting and other future APRES events.

APRES does NOT SELL or share contact information with any 3rd-party entities.

LIABILITY

APRES will not accept liability for any transportation disruption or individual transportation delays and in such circumstances normal cancellation terms apply. If circumstances beyond the control of the APRES, such as a global pandemic or terror alert, prevent the running of the meeting, the organizers reserve the right to retain up to 50% of the registration fee as a contribution to registration, location, and general administration costs.

Coyt T. Wilson Distinguished Service Award

The award recognizes an individual who best emulates Dr. Coyt T. Wilson who contributed freely of his time and service to APRES during its formative years. Active members with five years of membership and service to APRES in the area(s) of committee appointments, officer duties, editorial boards, or special assignments are eligible. 

Award: $1,000 cash and recognition plaque


APRES Fellow of the Society Award

Fellows are active members of the Society who have been nominated to receive the honor of fellowship by other active members, recommended by the Fellows Committee, and elected by the APRES Board of Directors. The nominee should have made outstanding contributions in an area of specialization whether in research, extension or administration and whether in public, commercial or private service activities.

Award: Plaque, Certificate, Recognition of Accomplishments entered into the Proceedings

Bailey Award

The Bailey Award was established in honor of Wallace K. Bailey, an eminent peanut scientist and recognizes the best paper presented at the previous year’s Annual Meeting. All session papers presented by APRES members at the Annual Meeting are eligible. Nominations are selected based on the oral paper presentation at the previous year's Annual Meeting. Nominees are invited to submit a manuscript for Committee review and critique. The recipient is chosen from the nominees submitting a manuscript. 

Award: Bookends awarded to speaker; Additional Authors recognized in the Proceedings and APRES website

Page charges are waived for recipients who choose Peanut Science to publish their manuscript.


 Joe Sugg Graduate Student Competition (Oral Presentation)

(Sponsored by North Carolina Peanut Growers Association and National Peanut Board)
