As you may remember from last year, the APRES Public Relations Committee led a campaign to raise funds for a donation of peanut butter to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Thanks to your contributions and a matching donation from the Georgia Peanut Commission we were able to donate 4,320 16-ounce jars of Peanut Proud peanut butter to the local Savannah community in need.
Due to the success of last year’s event, we are again raising funds for a peanut butter donation to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. APRES members now have a chance to spread the good news and power of the peanut to the Oklahoma City community and support the Peanut Proud effort. We need your help to accomplish the goal of raising $1500 for the one pallet of peanut butter. You can donate online or at the meeting in Oklahoma City.
The U.S. Peanut Industry is committed to the overall health and well-being of humankind. It is through this humanitarian concept that Peanut Proud has now evolved from an idea that peanuts and products made from peanuts are good for people and a desire to share that message, to a functioning 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
